Fiber Upgrade

We want to let you know about activity from Grant PUD that you will see in the Pelican Point neighborhood soon. It's all part of our ongoing efforts to plan and provide service upgrades to the fiber cables that deliver the fastest internet in Grant County. The upgrades, which will be performed by Grant PUD’s fiber contractor, North Sky, include replacing the overhead cables and placing them underground, which will offer you a more reliable internet connection and require less maintenance from our team.

Over the next few weeks, you can expect the following with no planned network outage: The week of Oct. 10 you will see the contractor and Grant PUD crews locating, field verification and aligning the cable replacement plan.  The week of Oct. 24 you will see the contractor crews doing groundwork in preparation for the cable change out. We will be communicating with your service provider about this plan, and there is nothing that you will need to do to be connected to the improved fiber cables once this project is complete.

Safety is a top priority for Grant PUD. Our team and contractors will commit to performing the needed maintenance with safety in mind for everyone affected. We will do our best to keep you informed about the service that is going to take place so you may know what to expect in the weeks ahead
