Other Fees

ACCOUNT SERVICE CHARGE

A fixed, one-time charge per service address to have electrical service put in your name. This charge is added to the first billing.

BASIC CHARGE

A fixed charge based on the cost of the meter and the electric wires to bring electricity to your home or business. This charge also covers the cost of maintaining customer account records. A Basic Charge is billed even if no electricity is used.

NSF CHARGE

In addition to charges from your bank, Grant PUD will charge $25 for checks returned for non-sufficient funds or closed accounts.

AFTER-HOURS FEE

Call Center customer assistance outside of normal work hours of 6 a.m.-6 p.m. (seven days a week) will incur an After-Hours fee of $250.00.
On-site service work (non outage response related) requests outside of 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Mon. through Thur.) may incur an After-Hours fee of $450.00, should a callout for service be necessary.

 Grant County enjoys some of the lowest power prices in the nation. We strive daily to make decision to balance future investments while meeting present-day needs. Our current pricing strategy is focused on implementing small, predictable annual increases when needed to cover rising costs.
