November 8, 2011
EPHRATA, Wash. – Kevin Nordt, Director of Power Management for Grant PUD, was selected as chief financial officer this week. Effective Nov. 11, Nordt will assume the new CFO responsibilities in addition to his current duties as director of power management. The announcement comes after months of interviews to fill the role of former Treasurer-Controller Jim Bunch, who retired earlier this year.
“We are fortunate to have the expertise and training required to fill this key position in our own back yard,” explained General Manager Tim Culbertson. “Kevin exemplifies the qualifications we need in our leadership moving into the future.”
Nordt has been with the PUD since 2004 and brings over 20 years of experience in the Northwest energy industry. Accepting the position Nordt shared, “I am excited about where we are heading as a utility and look forward to building upon the momentum established by my co-workers.”
Nordt is a native of New York and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematical physics from St. John's University, a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin and additional graduate work in computational finance at Oregon Graduate Institute.
