Grant PUD commission seeks efficiencies
Revisions made to meeting schedule
January 31, 2011

EPHRATA, WA – In an effort to maximize time spent on issues facing the utility, commissioners today approved modification of their meeting schedule and will hold business meetings two times per month.

Effective February 7, commissioners will begin a trial run of a new meeting schedule. Afternoon business meetings will be scheduled on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Workshops on specific topics will be held as needed. As in the past, commissioners will continue to receive public comment on any PUD-related topic at 1:00 p.m. during all meetings.

Most policy-related action in the form of motions and resolutions will take place during the business meetings. However, it may become necessary for the board to take action on items during the workshop meetings. As before, meeting dates, agendas and workshop topics will be posted to the utility website: www.gcpud.org.

“Grant PUD customer-owners can be confident that their commission is focused on the pressing priorities of the utility,” stated Commission President Randy Allred. “By revising our practices, we will spend more time on larger issues that have a greater impact. As always, public comment continues to be a priority to this board, and we will be available to hear your thoughts on a regular basis.”
