Grant PUD receives clean audit from state
EPHRATA, Wash. – In an exit interview with the Washington State Auditor’s Office, Grant PUD received a clean audit report.
The audit covered the period from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 and focused on accountability for public resources and compliance with laws and regulations.
Grant PUD Commissioner Terry Brewer attended the exit interview and commented, “Management and staff are to be commended for their on-going commitment to excellent operational practices. These audits have highlighted the utility’s continued refinement of processes and controls.”
During the interview, the auditors identified improvements needed to the utility’s employee credit card transaction reviews and recognized that new procedures had already been implemented by the utility to address these issues.
