Traveling utility meetings kick of Public Power Month
Dates set for Moses Lake, Grand Coulee and Quincy
EPHRATA, WA – Grant PUD Commissioners and staff will celebrate Public Power Month in October by traveling to Grant County communities and discussing utility initiatives with PUD customers.
During question and answer sessions with the public, utility officials will review priority projects, including potential new energy resources and a proposed electrical rate increase for 2010. Commissioners and senior management will be on hand to take comments from interested public.
Meetings have been set in Moses Lake, Grand Coulee and Quincy. All are invited to attend. Meetings will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Public Power Month is an opportunity for Grant PUD customers to celebrate the benefits of having a locally-controlled utility that provides safe, reliable public power together with the clean, renewable, low-cost hydropower produced by Priest Rapids and Wanapum dams. All residents of Grant County are both customers and owners of this utility and able to exercise a voice in utility decisions.
