History of Grant PUD
The residents of Grant County have always kept an eye toward the future. In 1938, they formed their own public utility district to bring electricity to the entire county. In the 1950s, citizens of the county encouraged Grant PUD to build dams on the Columbia River to produce renewable, low-cost power for themselves and for future generations.
