Lands Weekend Patrol

Grant PUD maintains a Visitor Management and Resource Protection Program intended to safely, effectively and cost-efficiently implement the Land Use Plan as related to public recreation use of Priest Rapids Project lands; and provide for a safe and satisfying visitor experience to the Project.

The Weekend Patrol staff provides a presence on the lands and waters of the Priest Rapids Project and offer education to visitors regarding allowed land use, safety and resource protection. They also prevent site degradation and manage for sustainable public use.

The Weekend Patrol staff, a temporary group of patrollers, is hired to cover weekends during the recreation season from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.  Extended coverage is also provided on Fridays and Mondays during high-use concert and holiday weekends.
