Stewardship & Responsibility
Grant PUD is committed to the protection and enhancement of the natural and cultural resources, recreation and other public uses of the Columbia River. Over the term of the utility’s new, 44-year license, reasonable and effective natural resource protection, mitigation and enhancement programs will be implemented while the utility preserves the ability to generate low-cost, renewable hydropower for Grant County residents, farms and businesses as well as millions of electric customers throughout the Northwest. The utility will continue to be a responsible steward for the Priest Rapids Project resources while generating hydroelectric power for decades to come.
As part of the utility’s commitment to safeguard natural and cultural resources, recreation and other public uses of the river, Grant PUD follows and complies with local, state and federal regulations.
