Orange safety buoys and cable barriers
have been installed upstream from the dams to warn boaters away from the danger
of close approach to turbine intakes and spillways.
Signs also warn boaters about approaching
to closely too the downstream side of the dams.
Be aware that water releases from the dams
can create hazardous boating conditions and river flow
fluctuations affecting water levels.
This portion of the river is known
for sudden high winds.
