Grant PUD successfully auctioned off two blocks of future electric power production from its Priest Rapids Project dams on November 3, 2011. A portion of clean, renewable hydropower was auctioned off to PPL EnergyPlus, LLC. and Powerex Corp. as a part of Grant PUD's seventh annual power auction. Both PPL EnergyPlus and Powerex will receive 10.135 percent of the output from the Priest Rapids Project on the Columbia River during the 2012 contract period.
