Sunland Shoreline

Sunland Shoreline Public Recreation Visioning

Sunland EstatesPublic recreation planning for the shoreline at Sunland Estates will include development of a Public Recreation Development Plan under Grant PUD’s Shoreline Management Plan. The Sunland Shoreline Public Recreation Development Plan will integrate public access and public recreation development opportunities while considering the interests of adjacent property owners.

Grant PUD invites Sunland residents to provide initial input on improving public access and recreation opportunities on the Grant PUD-owned shoreline adjacent to Sunland Estates. Improvements to parking and shoreline access, vegetation management and recreation amenities will be addressed. While this initial comment opportunity is focused on the Sunland area residents, the general public will have the opportunity to comment on draft plans as they are developed.

Once the Public Recreation Development Plan is developed, existing uses will be evaluated to determine whether they fit into planned future use. Providing reasonable public access on the Sunland shoreline will affect existing shoreline uses. Grant PUD will finalize the Sunland Shoreline Public Recreation Development Plan by refining draft designs in the spring of 2011
