Desert Aire Recreation Area Overview
 Three recreation projects are required to be developed in the Desert Aire/Cox’s Landing area. The projects consist of improvements to the existing boat launch facility in Desert Aire, development of a new day use park in North Desert Aire and Cox Landing areas and an approximate 3.1-mile trail connecting the day use park to the southern portion of Desert Aire.
The license requires the following specific amenities to be incorporated at each site:

- 15 picnic tables
- New swimming area
- 1 double vault toilet
- 2 traffic control signs
- New gravel parking lot
- Interpretative signage

- Approximate length of 3.1 miles
- Traverse from Road. U along Grant PUD shoreline through the boat launch to Orchard Drive
- Majority of trail will be 8 feet wide with 3-foot shoulders
- Design for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance and emergency access
