Fish in the Project

More than 40 species of fish swim the waters of the Priest Rapids Project area, including individuals from 14 of the 24 recognized families of North American freshwater fishes. Among these species are both anadromous and resident fish.

Anadromous fish: Resident fish:
Coho Channel catfish
Pacific lamprey Northern pikeminnow
Sockeye Smallmouth bass
Spring, summer and fall Chinook salmon Walleye
Summer steelhead White sturgeon
