GRANT COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2
IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

STUDENT INTERNS
Level 1 - $11.91 per hour
Level 2 - $14.47 per hour

Wages effective 4/1/2007

Each student intern who has completed less than 135 quarter or 90 semester hours of credit pursuing a degree will be compensated at Level 1. Interns who have completed 135 quarter or 90 semester hours will be compensated at Level 2. A copy of a current transcript will be required to determine the wage level.

This is a professional level program for undergraduate and graduate students in which the theory and practice taught in school is joined with actual work experience in the District.

While the District’s experience in this program has been largely limited to engineering students, the District does not rule out the possibility of accepting interns in non-engineering fields whose professional course of study and degree is appropriate to the District’s work.

Qualifications:

  1. Interns must be registered at a college or university, must have completed their sophomore year in their major course of study and be classified as a junior, and must be in good standing at their school.

  2. Must provide proof of and be admitted to an accredited college or university, with intent to continue enrollment as a full-time student in the next quarter or semester (excluding summer).

  3. Must Provide proof of and maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 point scale.

  4. Must provide proof of and maintain full-time student status.

  5. Must possess a current Driver’s License, if necessary for the job.

Please call for an employment application and a student letter (to be completed by the registrars office) or print them from the above links and return to Human Resources at:
