GRANT COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT #2
IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

STUDENT HELPERS
Level 1 $8.96 per hour
Level 2 $9.79 per hour
Level 3 $10.65 per hour

Wages effective 4/1/2007

Each student helper who has completed less than 45 quarter or 30 semester hours of credit in pursuing a degree will be compensated at Level 1. Student helpers who have completed at least 45 quarter or 30 semester hours will be compensated at level 2. Student helpers who have completed 90 quarter or 60 semester hours will be compensated at Level 3. A copy of a current transcript will be required to establish wage levels.

Qualifications - College Student Helper:

  1. Must provide proof of and be admitted to an accredited college or university, and intent to continue enrollment as a full-time student in the next quarter or semester (excluding summer).

  2. Must provide proof of and maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  3. Must provide proof of and maintain full-time student status.

  4. Must possess a current Washington State Driver's License (if necessary for the job).


Qualifications - High School Student Helper:

In some cases there may be a need and a benefit to the District for a student helper who still is in high school.

To qualify, the student:

  1. Must provide proof of and be enrolled in either high school or a GED program (GED must be completed within one year from first date of employment with the District); and

  2. Must provide proof of and be a full time student maintaining an overall grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  3. Must possess a current Driver's License (if necessary for the job).
