New Resource Projects
Grant PUD is committed to exploring alterative energy sources to conserve, supplement and enhance the utility’s renewable hydropower project generation. New and emerging technologies may provide additional energy resources to accommodate growth and serve as a buffer during critical water years.
Various options including solar, wind, biomass, hydroelectric, geothermal, natural gas and other power resources are currently being evaluated. Energy resource development evolves through participation and collaboration with industry, government, academia and the public. The goal is to find and evaluate cost-effective technologies and conservation measures that will enhance Grant PUD’s efficient energy options.
