Tree Trimming

Grant PUD trims trees, overhanging branches, hedges, shrubs or other obstructions which interfere with the operation or maintenance of utility equipment.  We do not trim trees on homeowner’s property that interfere with secondary lines to the home – these are the homeowner’s responsibility.  Our line crews will assist homeowners by lowering the overhead service so trimming can be done.

Clean up of fallen trees caused by windstorms is the homeowner’s responsibility, after the PUD has removed the branches from power lines. 

It’s always a good idea to plant trees away from power lines.
