Irrigation Billing

Irrigation accounts are served under Rate Schedule 3 - Irrigation Service. The rate schedule reflects a rate increase effective with meter readings on or after February 1, 2011.

Irrigation Billing Terms Defined

Monthly Capacity Charge –  This monthly charge (April – October) is based on the pump billing horsepower. This charge covers the costs to provide energy to the pump.

Monthly Basic Charge – This monthly charge (April – October) is based on the phase of the account – single or three phase. This charge covers the billing and account service costs.

Mid-Season Energy Charges – Meters are read late June through mid-July for kilowatt-hour usage up to read date.  Please note some center-pivot meters may be estimated.

End-of-Season Energy Charges – Meters are read late October through mid-November for kilowatt-hour usage up to read date.

Prepayment – Growers may prepay their annual charges as a convenience, or as an option to a deposit. Charges will be estimated based on billing horsepower. A monthly bill will continue to be sent showing charges and debit/credit balance on the account. A true-up will occur with the end-of-season bill in November. Contact Customer Service if you are interested in this option.
