Check out the latest CFLs at your local retailer.  They are designed to deliver improved light quality with instant on.  They are also available in a variety of shapes, from spirals to reflectors to globes and other speciality bulbs.

Don’t wait for other incandescent bulbs in your home to burn out before replacing them with CFLs. In addition to the four free bulbs from Grant PUD, you can purchase CFLs and receive a maximum electric bill credit of $2.50 per bulb.
