The Wanapum Native American Discovery Unit (WNADU) is
a mobile museum contained in a large, highly modified,
motor home. In the interior of the WNADU, the ceiling
is the sky, the floor is the Columbia River and the
walls are the shores of the river. There is a large
diorama of a Wanapum village along the river complete
with running water. The diorama gives a good representation
of Wanapum village life in earlier times. The WNADU
is replete with artifacts, photographs and interpretive
information. This mobile museum travels to schools,
fairs, events and celebrations throughout the Pacific
Northwest providing a glimpse of Native American life
actually presented by Native Americans.
