ENERGY STAR Site-Built Homes
Qualifying for ENERGY STAR New Home Certification
- ENERGY STAR certification is available for both new site-built homes AND new manufactured homes.
- It is important to contact Grant County PUD Energy Services Department prior to beginning construction or purchasing a new manufactured home to be sure the ENERGY STAR specifications are included in the plans.
- ENERGY STAR certified homes require a qualifying heat pump to heat and cool the home.
- Your home will also be inspected and tested by Grant County PUD.
Incentives for Building a new ENERGY STAR Site-Built Home
New site-built homes that meet the specifications and are certified as ENERGY STAR Homes are eligible for the following rebates:
- Electrically heated homes with heat pumps and built to the Energy Star NW Homes specifications can receive a rebate of $500.
- Additionally, heat pumps are rebated at $200 per ton, plus free testing of the system.
