New Residential - Site-Built


Energy Star Home Certification

We can recommend energy saving measures that will help you build your home to exceed minimum building code requirements. Homes that meet Energy Star requirements and use a qualifying Energy Star heat pump for the primary heating system will qualify for an incentive of $200 per ton of heat pump plus $500 for house measures.

To apply for this program click here to download the Energy Star New Home Certification Application and program instructions. After completing the application, return it to Grant County PUD at 312 W. Third Avenue , Moses Lake WA 98837.

Heat Pumps for Existing Homes


The PUD offers a 4 percent interest 10-year loan to install a qualifying heat pump providing your home has an electric forced air ducted heating system and any practical insulation measures are also done.

Existing Residential – Site-Built Home

Weatherization

A 4 percent 10-year loan is available to add certain energy-saving measures to your existing site-built home. These measures include: ceiling, wall, under-floor and HVAC duct insulation. Caulking, door weatherstripping and replacement of doors and windows is also covered under the weatherization loan. The loan most often pays the full cost of installing these measures.

New Manufactured Homes


New Energy Star/SGC Manufactured Home Heat Pump Incentive Program


This program encourages use of heat pumps in new manufactured homes. When an Energy Star heat pump is installed in a Super Good Cents or Energy Star qualified new manufactured home, at the time the home is purchased and sited, you may be eligible for an incentive of $200 per ton of heat pump plus $500 for the home certification.

Existing Manufactured Homes


Air Sealing

If you own a 1980 or older manufactured home, the PUD offers an HVAC duct air leakage test free of charge. If the test shows significant leakage, you may qualify for free air and duct sealing.

Heat Pumps for Existing Homes
