How to Qualify for ENERGY STAR
New Home Certification
 


ENERGY STAR certification is available for both new site-built homes AND new manufactured homes. It is important to contact Grant County PUD Energy Services Department prior to beginning construction or purchasing a new manufactured home to be sure the ENERGY STAR specifications are included in the plans. ENERGY STAR certified homes require a qualifying heat pump to heat and cool the home. The home will also be inspected and tested by Grant County PUD. Site-built homes also require some additional energy-saving measures. There is currently an incentive of $200 per ton of installed heat pump plus an additional $500 for each certified home.
