Commercial Office Lighting Display

Grant PUD now has an office lighting demonstration lab in the Moses Lake Local Office. Today, with new lighting technologies and study results available, lighting designers are able to customize lighting
needs in individual offices taking into account natural light, partition- type work areas and visual tasks being performed by employees.

In an effort to show customers the newest energy-efficient technologies, Grant PUD Energy Services staff worked with the Lighting Design Lab in Seattle to design lighting for eight separate offices.
Each of these lighting designs provide more comfortable lighting,
reduce glare and eliminate the "cave effect" experienced in internal offices without daylight.

Lighting features include photo-sensitive automatic dimmers,
direct/indirect light where the light is reflected to the ceiling with a small amount directed down to the desk and totally indirect lighting.
